Caribou High School's ski facilities started with a nordic system, which grew to include snowmaking and night skiing.

In 2004, Soderberg Construction pushed fill excavated from a soccer field into a mound to the south of the school building. The company had a long history of involvement with local skiing, including founder Iver Soderberg's contributions to the former Prestile Ski Hill off Route 164 south of town. Serving the new slope was an 800 foot long O'Connor handle tow.
